I build software, mostly the kind that other people never see: the quiet plumbing underneath things that have to keep working. I have spent the better part of a decade on systems where correctness matters more than novelty, and I have come to think that is the more interesting problem anyway.

Away from the keyboard I cook a great deal, read more than I finish, and keep notes on both. This site is where those notes live. There is a resume if that is what brought you, a handful of recipes I actually make, some writing, and a few things I have built. Everything else is filed under etc.
